What Are The Impacts Of A Likely Separation?
July 16th, 2010 at 01:22 am by FreshAire in Government & Non-profitHave you lately been into a relationship? You must have felt the pain of breaking up. This loss is quite difficult to stand. Separations have become quite common now a days. Although the reasons are known, they are too many to be classified. In America alone, there have been quite many divorce cases and strikingly most of them are just couple of years after marriage. Everything finishes between the couple except for one problem: the charge of the kids. The bone of contention for parents seeking custodial rights often drag them to court and they spend their time and money in search for the right Las Vegas child custody attorney or Las Vegas custody attorney.
After all this problem finishes, you might find yourself asking whether you are destined to have someone whom you can believe. You start keeping away from people because you had trusted people before and you were wrong in your assessment and your decision making abilities become risky. Yet what you should believe is that you have committed a mistake once, but that doesn’t mean that you will always land up in the same situation.
One thing that has to be emphasized on here is that a separation can either be rash or planned. The decision for separation is rash when you act on actual emotions regarding something. The separations that result in this way are usually the more regretted ones. Yet whether a divorce was thought out or unanticipated, that hardly matters. All that matters is that you will suffer the consequences and might have a complete personality reversal after this. There can be some more serious issues that you are most likely to face after your divorce.
Identity Crises
It often occurs, soon after separation when you will feel as if there is something missing in your life. You might have an identity crisis when you fail to understand who you are without your partner. It has not much to do with your own identity, but it simply shows that you had been a part of a bigger entity in your relationship. And as the relationship ceases to exist, this will bring a change in your personality which seems hard to digest.
Feeling Triggered
A separation can actually upset you to the core where you develop a craving for older relatives, for example such as parents or siblings. As a child you had a relationship with your parents that was purly based on love and care. Now with the lapse of this big tragedy, you may wish that time to come back where you can be a child who is loved and cared. But now you feel lonely like a person who is unworthy of love. This feeling is very common at times of sorrow.
Yet, the world has not collapsed for you. You can still begin a new life with a positive approach and a little effort on your part. No doubt it’s unbearable and seems long lasting after a separation, yet make yourself realize that you won’t let this feeling last forever. With this attitude, you will feel stronger and lighter.
