The Giants returned to the top in 1954, capturing the World Series in a four-game upset with a club that featured center-fielder Willie Mays, one of the baseball’s greatest all-around talents. The new franchise owner moved the franchise to San Francisco in 1958.

In 1987 and 1989 the franchise won two Western division titles. The franchise was joined by two superstars, Barry Bonds and Dusty Baker in 1993.
